1. Introduction

This policy explains what personal data we collect through aeravti.com, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

"Aeravti", "we", "us" and "our" mean Aeravti Ventures LLP, the investment manager of Aeravti Ventures, a Category II Alternative Investment Fund registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI Registration No. IN/AIF2/26-27/2281). Our registered office is at 7, Ridhi Sidhi, Nanjappa Road, Shanti Nagar, Behind Bank of Baroda, KH Road, Bengaluru 560027.

"You" means anyone who visits our website or contacts us through it, including founders, investors, partners and job applicants.

We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, as they apply to us.

By using this website, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or share your information with us.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need. This falls into three groups.

Information you give us

  • Contact enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, organisation and the content of your message.

  • Pitch submissions: your name, contact details, company name, role, pitch deck and any business information you choose to share.

  • Investor enquiries: your name, contact details, organisation and the nature of your interest in the fund.

  • Job applications: your name, contact details, CV and any other details you include.

  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our hosting and analytics providers may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, the site that referred you, and your approximate location (city or country level).

Information from other sources

We may receive your details from a co-investor, portfolio company, or someone who refers you to us. We may also use publicly available sources such as LinkedIn or company filings to understand an opportunity.

We do not ask for sensitive data such as passwords, bank or card details, health information or government ID numbers through this website. Please do not send them to us.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only for the purpose you shared it for, or a closely related one.

  • To reply to your enquiry and stay in touch about it.

  • To review pitch submissions and assess investment opportunities.

  • To respond to investor interest and share information about the fund, subject to applicable SEBI rules.

  • To review job applications.

  • To send our newsletter or updates, if you have signed up.

  • To understand how visitors use the website and improve it.

  • To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.

  • To meet our legal, regulatory and audit obligations, including those under SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations, 2012 and anti-money-laundering laws.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decisions that have a legal effect on you.

4. Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data on one of two grounds.

  • Your consent. When you submit a form or email us, you agree to us using your details for that purpose. Consent is free, specific and can be withdrawn at any time.

  • Legitimate uses permitted by law. For example, when you share information voluntarily for a specific purpose, or when we must keep records to meet a legal or regulatory duty.

You can withdraw consent by writing to info@aeravti.com. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. It does not affect anything we did before you withdrew. If you withdraw, we may not be able to continue reviewing your pitch, application or enquiry.

5. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website.

We use:

  • Essential cookies that the website needs to load and stay secure. These are set by our hosting and security providers, [Framer] and [Cloudflare].

  • Analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they find us. We use [Framer Analytics / Google Analytics]. We use this data only to improve the website.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working.

6. Who we share information with

We share personal data only when needed, and only with people bound to keep it confidential.

  • Our team and advisors: partners, investment committee members, legal counsel, auditors and the fund's trustee, when they need it to do their work.

  • Service providers: companies that host the website, run analytics, store email and documents, or send newsletters. They process data only on our instructions.

  • Co-investors: only with your prior consent, and only when evaluating a joint investment in your company.

  • Regulators and authorities: SEBI, tax authorities, courts or law enforcement, when the law requires it.

  • A successor entity: if the fund manager is merged, restructured or transferred, your data may pass to the new entity under the same protections.

We do not share your data for anyone else's marketing.

7. Storage, security and transfers outside India

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, firewall and security-header protection, and limiting access to people who need it.

No system is fully secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by law.

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only to countries not restricted by the Government of India, and we expect those providers to protect it to a similar standard.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires.

  • Enquiries and pitch submissions: up to [24 months] after our last contact, unless an investment process continues.

  • Job applications: up to [12 months] after the role is filled.

  • Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.

  • Investor and regulatory records: for the period required by SEBI, tax and anti-money-laundering laws.

  • Website analytics: in aggregate form, for up to [26 months].

After this, we delete the data or make it anonymous.

9. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.

  • Correct and update: ask us to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.

  • Erase: ask us to delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.

  • Withdraw consent: stop us using your data where we rely on consent.

  • Raise a grievance: complain to our Grievance Officer about how we handle your data.

  • Nominate: name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.

To use any of these rights, email info@aeravti.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within [30] days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Other terms

Children. This website is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

Third-party links. The website links to portfolio companies, press articles and social media. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data. Please read their privacy policies.

No offer. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell, or a solicitation to buy, units of the fund. Any investment is made only through the fund's private placement memorandum and related documents, to eligible investors, as permitted by SEBI.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If a change is significant, we will tell you where we can.
